Library Technical Implementation Unit

The UPT Library Building is located in the center of the Tamalanrea campus, adjacent to the Rectorate building of Hasanuddin University. The building consists of four floors with a total area of 14,420 m²; however, based on the available resources, only approximately 8,825 m² is currently in use.

SERVICES ACCESSIBLE TO VISITORS

Floor 2

    1. Lobby
    2. Information Desk designed for library users seeking information about Hasanuddin Library.
    3. Library Clearance Service assists final semester students in processing their library clearance before graduation
    4. Electronic Journals and Books Service is a dedicated room that provides access to electronic materials (e-Resources) and scientific digital literature subscribed by Hasanuddin University and the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education. Users can access databases such as ProQuest, EBSCOhost, Gale Cengage, Scopus, Science
    5. Korea-Indonesia Cultural Corner (KICC), di ruangan ini pemustaka dapat mendapatkan informasi tentang budaya, bahasa, pendidikan dan hal-hal lain yang menyangkut negeri Korea. Di korner ini juga sering kali diadakan kursus bahasa korea yang diajarkan langsung oleh penutur aslinya dibantu staf Pengajar dari Fakultas ilmu Budaya Universitas Hasanuddin.
    6. French Corner (sudut baca negeri Prancis), di ruangan ini pemustaka juga bisa mendapatkan informasi tentang budaya, bahasa serta cara melanjutkan studi ke Eropa khususnya negara Prancis. Di korner ini juga biasa dilaksanakan kursus bahasa Prancis mulai pemula sampai ke tingkat intermedit.
    7. BI Corner (sudut baca bank Mandiri), di korner ini menyediakan informasi tentang literature ekonomi perbankan serta perkembangan bank Mandiri

Floor 3

On the third floor, visitors can enjoy a variety of services offered, including:

  1. Reserved Book and Reference Collection Services, visitors can access information on books that may not be available on general shelves. In the reference collection room, users can find brief information from reference sources such as dictionaries, encyclopedieas, bibliographies, indexes, abstracts, catalogs, directories, annual reports, textbooks, proceedings, and more. These materials ar for on-site reading only and may not be borrowed, though they can photocopied.
  2. Sulawesiana Collection, this room provides information related to the culture, economy and social conditions of ethnic groups in the Sulawesi region, such as the Bugis, Makassar, Mandar, Toraja, and Buton peoples, through manuscripts, research reports, statistics, and other monographs.
  3. Special Collections,This room provides access to various academic works by Universitas Hasanuddin students and lecturers (undergraduate theses, master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, and research reports), including works produced both within and outside of Universitas Hasanuddin.
  4. Serial Publications Collection Services, visitors can acces information from printed magazines, newspapers, and scientific journals.
  5. Mandarin Cultural Center, This room introduces aspects of Chinese culture such as language education, culinary traditions, and martial arts like Tai Chi. The center frequently hosts seminars, language courses, and other activities related to Chinese culture.
  6. Circulation Services, this services covers the borrowing and returning of books, monographs, and other library materials.
