Literasi bermuara pada munculnya inovasi yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan masyarakat untuk bersaing dalam kancah global. Diketahui bersama bahwa saat ini perpustakaan tidak hanya tempat berkmpul untuk membaca buku dan mencari informasi, namun perpustakaan dapat menjadi working space tempat tumbuhnya inovasi-inovasi baru di dalam insititusi pendidikan, perpustakaan juga dapat menjadi suatu virtal office. Ia telah berangsur-angsur menjadi tempat berinteraksi dengan komunikasi sosial serta working space tempat tumbuhnya inovasi baru. Perpustakaan juga telah menunjukkan bagaimana melakukan transformasi di era digital, mulai dari mobile library, library on the wall, hibirth library, hingga perpustakaan dalam game.
Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut Perpustakaan Universitas Hasanuddin mengutus empat orang anggotanya dalam mengikuti Konferensi Perpustakaan Digital Indonesia (KPDI) ke-13 pada tanggal 9 – 12 Agustus 2022 di Solo. Mereka diantaranya, Dr. Fierenziana G. Junus, M.Hum. (2) Hasyim, S.Sos.,M.Si. (3) Zohra Djohan, S.Hum. serta (4) Nasri Abduh
Konferensi ini dihadiri lebih dari 400 peserta, utusan berbagai perpustakaan di seluruh wilayah nusantara yang bertujuan untuk memperluas akses digital perpustakaan demi mempercepat terwujudnya manusia unggul secara pengetahuan dan teknologi.
Kepala Perpustakaan Nasional RI, Muhammad Syarif Bando, saat membuka acara ini mengatakan bahwa, banyak tantangan yang dihadapi dalam mewujudkan transformasi digital. Tugas berat yang perpusnas RI emban adalah mempercepat terwujudnya manusia unggul secara pengetahuan dan teknologi..
“Sangat tidak mudah mengubah kebijakan, menciptakan regulasi, apalagi mengubah dari manual ke digital,” ungkapnya. Namun demikian, dirinya menegaskan Perpusnas akan memberikan dukungan penuh kepada program-program yang diselenggarakan Forum Perpustakaan Digital Indonesia ke depannya.
Namun demikian perpusnas akan memberikan dukungan penuh kepada program-program yang dilaksanakan oleh Forum Perpustakaan Digital Indonesia ke depannya.
KPDI ke-13 ini digelar Perpusnas bekerja sama dengan Forum Perpustakaan Digital Indonesia (FPDI) dan Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret (UNS) tuan rumah penyelenggara kegiatan. Pertemuan akbar ini pun juga dihadiri Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Sumarno, dan Wakil Wali Kota Solo, Teguh Prakosa, Bupati Gowa Dr. Adnan Purichta Ichsan, SH, MH. Serta sejumlah pejabat pengambil kebiakan di daerah.
Dalam sambutannya, Sumarno mengatakan hadirnya KPDI ke-13 membuktikan bahwa perpustakaan tidak pernah tertinggal dan terus beradaptasi. Perpustakaan digital, menurutnya, seharusnya menarik minat masyarakat karena aksesnya jauh lebih mudah dibandingkan perpustakaan konvensional. “Kalau perpustakaan konvensional harus didatangi, perpustakaan digital harus jauh lebih mudah diakses. Yang menjadi tantangan kita semua adalah bagaimana kita mensosialisasikan ke masyarakat yang tidak banyak yang tahu masalah perpustakaan digital ini,” paparnya.
Kebijakan Pembangunan Bidang perpustakaan di Indonesia telah masuk arus utama rencana pembangunan jangka menengah Nasional 2020 – 2024. Melalui prioritas nasional revolusi mental dan pembangunan kebudayaan yang diturunk dalam program prioritas prioritas meningkatkan literasi inovasi dan kreatifitas yang meliputi : (a) peningkatan budaya literasi dan (b) penguatan institusi sosial penggerak literasi dan inovasi.
Sesuai dengan arah kebijakan dan strategi bidang perpustakaan dalam rencana pembangunan jangka menengah nasional 2020-2024 tersebut, pembangunan perpustakaan digital kedepan harus disinkronkan melalui rencana strategi pembangunan perpustakaan digital nasional 2020-2024 yang mengarah pada pembangunan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang dapat berdampak pada kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui kemampuan berliteasi.
Di samping itu, transformasi digital harus terus didukung, mulai dari menyiapkan infrastruktur digital, mengubah cara berpikir ke arah digital, hingga bagaimana produk digital dapat dijual di pasar digital.
Beberapa saat sebelum berakhir Forum ini memilih Universitas mana yang akan menjadi tuan rumah pada tahun 2023 mendatang dengan berbagai pertimbangan. Tiap-tiap Universitas yang mengajukan diri sebagai tuan rumah wajib memaparkan potensi apa saja yang mereka miliki, termasuk manajemen penyelenggaraan kegiatan termasuk masalah akomodasi, transportasi, destinasi wisata untuk tour kebudayaan dan berbagai kriteria lainnya.
Walhasil forum memilih Universitas Brawijaya, Malang yang akan menjadi tuan rumah KPDI_14 tahun 2023 dengan perolehan suara 101 suara dan universitas Lampung dengan 77 suara. Karena memiliki suara terbanyak kedua maka Perpustakaan Universitas Lampung diberi kesempatan untuk menjadi tuan rumah pada KPDI_15 tahun 2024.
